What Is Plasma Skin Resurfacing and Tightening with PRP?

During our youth, our bodies have a supply of nutrients that maintains the softness of our skin. Those nutrients deplete over time, causing our skin to become looser and accumulate lines and wrinkles. Your skin can also sustain injuries, like scars, sun spots, and other blemishes. If you're looking for a noninvasive solution to these problems, then fractional plasma (also called radiofrequency) skin resurfacing and tightening combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) at Spencer Wellness Centre may be what you're looking for. With the use of the state-of-the-art Opus Plasma® device, plasma skin tightening helps to stimulate the natural generation of elastin and collagen for tighter, glowing skin. The addition of your own blood's plasma (separated from the blood and reinjected into your skin) enhances the skin-rejuvenating effects. Our experts in Indianapolis and Brownsburg, IN offer skin resurfacing and tightening with PRP to anyone wanting to renew and smooth their skin with long-lasting results.

What Can I Expect from Plasma Skin Resurfacing and Tightening with PRP?

During your appointment, we'll use the Opus handpiece on the areas of your skin needing resurfacing or tightening. A topical numbing agent is applied, and most patients don't feel discomfort during this procedure. You will feel the heat from the handpiece, followed by cold air from the system's built-in cooling technology. The device's energy removes dead and damaged skin cells while stimulating your skin's collagen production. The treatment may be customized for optimal results to fit your skin needs. We combine this procedure with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which we separate from your own blood and reinject into your skin to further increase collagen levels. You may have redness similar to a sunburn and a small amount of inflammation for 24-72 hours after treatment. Ice packs may be applied to alleviate this side effect, but patients should avoid any anti-inflammatory medications after PRP treatment. The number of treatments you need will largely depend on your goals, but typically two treatments with PRP are suggested. Your results can last for years but can be maintained by scheduling follow-up sessions. Remember that although this treatment has long-lasting results, it does not stop the natural progression of aging.

Help Your Skin Bounce Back

When your skin has lost its natural, youthful bounce, or it has accumulated signs of damage over the years, Opus Plasma® skin resurfacing and tightening with PRP may be the perfect nonsurgical solution for you.
